Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish. We provide two of the three types of anodizing.
- (Type II) sulfuric anodizing
- (Type III) hard anodizing
(Type II) Sulfuric Anodizing
The sulfuric acid process is the most common method for anodizing.
Thickness Range: 0001″-.001″ thick
Colors: Clear, Black, Blue, Red, Purple, Orange, Green, Gold, Yellow, Gray
(Type III) HardCoat Anodizing
Hardcoat Anodize is done under more exacting process conditions resulting in a harder, denser, thicker, and more abrasion resistant coating.
Thickness Range: 0.0005″ to 0.006″ but is dependent on the specific alloy being anodized.
